Capstone Project

For the Capstone Project, I focused on literacy instruction in grades K-2. The project: Quality Core Instruction & Building Teacher's Capacity, sought to disrupt inequitable teaching practices that widen the opportunity gap.  Moreover the project was designed to support teachers in implementing literacy instruction consistently across the grade bands.  In collaboration with colleagues, we designed and implemented a Literacy Lab Classroom and Data Driven Instructional Model, that resulted in marked improvement in student's literacy growth and development.
